Here is a little bit of great news for everyone in these uncertain times. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared a new saliva test that should hopefully reduce the risk of putting health care workers at risk. Instead of swabbing a patient’s nose and/or throat, now patients will be able to spit several times into a tube allowing lab workers to test for COVID-19.
